Marque has a pedigree rich in national champions, national champion producers and leading sires of the Arabian horse breed. In fact, within the first five generations of Marque’s pedigree, you will find 14 entries naming leading sires of the breed. Each generation builds on the strengths of those that precede it. Marque’s ancestors have created a strong foundation of breeding excellence, a foundation that breeders today can rely upon to complement and enhance their own programs.
Selket Marque was sired by *Marwan Al Shaqab, 2005 U.S. National Champion Junior Stallion, 2003 U.S. National Champion Junior Stallion, 2003 World Champion, All Nations Cup Champion, National Champion Yearling Colt of Qatar and most recently 2008 World Champion Stallion.
Selket Marque is out of Selket Khamala, a mare whose pedigree includes the legendary Russian sires Kilimandscharo and Patron, and the Egyptain sires *El Hilal and Aswan. Khamala’s dam line features some of the most influential Polish mares in the history of the Arabian horse breed including Arfa, a full sister to *Bask, Balalajka, Iwonka III, Lysa and Dzami I, foaled in 1896. Thus Selket Marque has a family history that traces back more than 100 years!
