The Prince of Stonewall Farm Arabians
Scottsdale, Arizona is the number one destination of people searching for the finest Arabian horses in the United States and perhaps the world. The Arabian horse community in Scottsdale is one of the most active in promoting the breed locally and worldwide. Two of the most progressive breeders of Arabians horses in Scottsdale are David Cains and Scott Bailey, owners of the Arabian Horse Network, a website company with clients from around the globe; as well as owners of Stonewall Arabians home of exquisite Arabian horses including Selket Marque, a three-year-old son of *Marwan Al Shaqab, one of the leading sires of the breed.
SelkeMarque has a pedigree rich in national champions, national champion producers and leading sires of the Arabian horse breed. In fact, within the first five generations of Marque's pedigree, you will find 14 entries naming leading sires of the breed. Each generation builds on the strengths of those that precede it. Marque's ancestors have created a strong foundation of breeding excellence, a foundation that breeders today can rely upon to complement and enhance their own programs.
First impressions are critical, especially for breeders of Arabian horses. The first impression of Selket Marque is a horse of great beauty, undeniable quality, extreme type, and a charismatic character. He embodies the best qualities of the horses in his pedigree, and they represent the highest achievements of international breeders over the past century. You can trace Marque's lineage through his pedigree which reads like a well used passport Qatar, Argentina, Russia, Poland, Egypt and beyond.
Selket Marque was sired by *Marwan Al Shaqab, 2005 U.S. National Champion Junior Stallion, 2003 U.S. National Champion Junior Stallion, World Champion, All Nations Cup Champion, and National Champion Yearling Colt of Qatar.
*Marwan Al Shaqab was bred and born in Qatar at Al Shaqab Stud, the royal stables of the Emir HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Marwan's sire, *Gazal Al Shaqab, is also an international champion and sire of champions. He too is owned by Al Shaqab Stud. *Gazal Al Shaqab is by the straight Egyptian stallion, *Anaza El Farid, who was owned by Count Federico Zichy-Thyssen of Argentina. *Anaza El Farid traces back to some of the most influential sires of the Arabian breed, such as Ruminaja Ali, Shaikh Al Badi, *Ansata Ibn Halima and Nazeer.
*Marwan Al Shaqab's dam is Canadian National Champion Futurity Filly, Little Liza Fame who is by National Champion Stallion, Fame VF who goes back to Bey Shah and a whole line of champions and champion producers.
Selket Marque is out of Selket Khamala, a mare whose pedigree includes the legendary Russian sires Kilimandscharo and Patron, and the Egyptain sires *El Hilal and Aswan. Khamala's dam line features some of the most influential Polish mares in the history of the Arabian horse breed including Arfa, a full sister to *Bask, Balalajka, Iwonka III, Lysa and Dzami I, foaled in 1896. Thus Selket Marque has a family history that traces back more than 100 years!
